New South Wales Parliamentary Secretary for Transport & Roads Mr Stuart Ayres MP this week announced that motorists will soon benefit from improved safety on the Prospect Highway at Seven Hills with work to start this Sunday on a $2 million project to upgrade the road surface.
“The NSW Government has provided funding for this project to improve the road surface which will reduce the need for future maintenance and improve safety for road users,” Mr Ayres said.
“Roads and Maritime Services will carry out work for one month on weekdays from 8pm to 5am, excluding Saturday, weather permitting.
“Partial road closures will be in place while work is carried out to ensure safety for workers and motorists.
“Electronic message signs and traffic controllers will also be in place to advise of changed traffic conditions.
“Minor delays are expected and every effort will be made to minimise noise and disruption to motorists and residents.
“Motorists are reminded to follow all signs including reduced speed limits.
“This project is part of Roads and Maritime’s commitment to deliver safe, efficient and high quality services and infrastructure to the community and businesses of NSW,” Mr Ayres said.
