The Commercial Vehicle Group sale from Transpacific Industries to the Penske Automotive Group has been speedily completed.

This week Western Star Trucks Australia issued two recall notices for its MAN and Denis Eagle brands.
MAN issued a recall for the cylinder head cover for its buses, coaches and trucks targeting 30 vehicles.
The recall notice states oil may emerge from the cylinder head cover in the event of engine damage.
In the worst case scenario, this could cause a fire hazard if leaking oil comes into contact with parts of the exhaust system.
A letter is being sent to affected owners and the inspection and rectification of affected vehicles will be carried out free of charge.
In another recall notice a certain number of Dennis Eagle 8×4 tandem steer vehicles may have been fitted with a steering pitman arm that was not manufactured to the correct specification.
The manufacturing error could compromise the attachment of the steering linkages for the second steer axle to the pitman arm.
If failure of one of the steering linkage attachments occurs, loss of steering control of the second axle can result.
The statement says this condition may potentially result in loss of control of the steering of the vehicle, potentially causing an accident.
Western Star Trucks Australia is sending letters to affected owners.
To rectify this concern, WSTA are supplying spacer components to compensate for the manufacturing error. Replacement steering arms will be supplied when available under a separate service campaign.
