Western Star to display road train setup at Brisbane Truck Show

Western Star will showcase the all-Australian 4900FXC Road Train at the Brisbane Truck Show. The road train was also shown at the Mid-America Truck Show in March.

In addition, the iconic brand will have 4900FXT 30th Anniversary Limited Edition truck on show to celebrate 30 years in Australia.

In addition, Western Star will display an all new 4700SB 6×4 tipper and an all new 4700SB 8×4 agitator – making the 2013 stand a must-see. Rounding out the stand will be one of the Erebus Motorsport 4800FXB trucks as well as a 5800SS prime mover. Formerly Stone Brothers Racing, Erebus Motorsport took over the team earlier in the year and introduced three Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG cars to the V8 Supercar Series. Two Western Star 4800FXB prime movers with B-double trailers now have the task of transporting over 100 tonnes of cars and equipment to race events around Australia.

MAN, meanwhile, will display a TGX 26.540 prime mover and TGX 26.480 prime mover at the Brisbane Truck Show.  Two TGM’s will also be displayed – a TGM 18.340 4×4 rigid and a TGM 15.290 4×2 rigid. A TGS 41.480 8×8 rigid will complete the display. In 2000, Western Star Trucks Australia acquired distribution exclusivity for all MAN products within Australia and New Zealand and created MAN Automotive Imports. Western Star Trucks Australia and MAN Automotive Imports merged as a result of this acquisition, with sales and after sales support services conducted out of the WSTA/MAI Asia Pacific Headquarters located in Brisbane, Queensland.

Also represented by Western Star, Dennis Eagle will display a Dual Control 6×4 chassis with Superior Pak side loader body; and an all new Dennis Eagle with integrated Dennis Eagle rear loader body.
