The company first put trucks into the Australian trucking scene back in 1982 when it evolved from the White Motor Corporation, selling 53 trucks in its first year and 89 in 1984. Sales grew and in 1989 the number nit 1,000 on the road escalating to 10,000 in 2007.

The company has grown market share to a stable 9.5 per cent and to celebrate its history Western Star is putting 30 trucks up for grabs, first in first served.

The trucks are specially finished in blue or silver paint and will carry a number of custom accessories only available on the anniversary units, with special badging, interior finishes and bling making them stand apart from the rest.
