The name of the new CEO at NatRoad was announced by the association’s President, Geoff Crouch.
The appointment of Warwick Ragg as the next CEO of NatRoad will commence on Monday, February 9, with a two week transition in which outgoing CEO Chris Melham will ease him through the change, before taking up the role as CEO of the Australian Trucking Association.
“The appointment of Warwick was the culmination of an extensive selection process which attracted over 50 candidates nationwide and I am thrilled to have secured his services as our incoming CEO” said Crouch.
Ragg comes to NatRoad with over 20 years experience in member based industry associations, including 11 years as the CEO of the Australian Forest Growers which was preceded by a senior position at the NSW Farmers Association.
According to the NatRoad his grass roots experience will put him in a good position in his dealings with, and as a representative of the NatRoad membership.
National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Chief Executive, Sal Petroccitto, congratulated Ragg on his appointment. “Warwick has over 20 years' experience in member based industry associations which will put him in good stead for advocating the best outcomes for NatRoad members and the wider heavy vehicle industry,” he said.
“The NHVR looks forward to working with Warwick and NatRoad in continuing to develop solutions to industry issues and concerns.
“I'd also like to personally thank current Natroad CEO, Chris Melham, who has worked closely with the NHVR for the last three years and supported the Regulator during the challenging times following the commencement of the Heavy Vehicle National Law last year.
