VTA Academy honours graduates from Murphy Transport Solutions

Ten employees from Victorian company Murphy Transport Solutions (MTS) have graduated from the VTA Academy’s accredited training courses.

The VTA Academy held an official Graduation Ceremony in August with the Honourable Peter Hall, Victorian Minister for Higher Education and Skills presenting the graduates with certificates and diplomas.

“The VTA Academy was established in 2012 in a partnership between the VTA and vocational training specialist the Mint Group to provide a fresh approach to training and labour solutions for the transport and logistics industry,” said Neil Chambers, VTA Chief Executive.

“We are very pleased to see the Academy succeeding in producing quality graduates and to see transport companies committing to the future of their business.”

Of the 10 MTS employees, eight completed a Certificate III in Driver Operations, one graduate completed a Certificate III in Warehouse Operations and one graduate completed a Diploma of Business.

“These graduates are the first Murphy employees to complete the VTA Academy courses … we have now enrolled all eligible employees across our sites in Australia into training with the VTA Academy,” said MTS Chief Operating Officer and VTA President, Brendan Hopley.
