Volvo Trucks to introduce new range to Asia in May

Volvo Trucks has announced it will introduce its new truck range to Asia in mid-May. With the launch of the renewed offer, the company aims at strengthening its position in the premium truck market in the Asia Pacific region.

While Volvo Trucks has already introduced its new range in Europe and some other parts of the world, it will now also bring the new FH, FM, FMX, FE and FL models to Asia.

According to Volvo, selected customers will have the chance to experience the new truck range first hand during a two-weeks launch event to be held in Seoul, South Korea.

Since January 2013, Volvo has delivered some 21,000 units of the new range globally. “We have great expectations for this new range [in Asia],” said Christophe Martin, President of Volvo Group Trucks Asia Oceania Sales (pictured).

“With this most innovative Volvo Trucks line-up ever, we can help our customers to meet their business needs, and improve their productivity and protitability.”

In 2013, Volvo Trucks delivered worldwide a total of 115,972 units, a 10 per cent increase compared to the previous year. In Asia Pacific, a total of about 7,500 unit sales was achieved, establishing Volvo Group's premium flagship brand as the No. 1 in sales for heavy duty trucks in the European segment.
