James Goodchap from CMV Truck and Bus in Dandenong has been named 2013 UD Trucks Salesman of the Year.
Mr Goodchap sold a high volume of trucks and topped the company’s sales incentive program, which allocates points to each national salesman for the quality of aftersales service and financial advice.
Vice President – UD Trucks, Jon McLean, said Mr Goodchap’s strong relationship, providing extended business support to his clients, made him a clear winner.
“James manages a number of clients, but it's his relationship with Border Express that really impressed us,” he said.
“His largest single order from Border Express was for 10 Condor PK rigids, that later grew to include an additional seven Quon prime movers,” said Mr McLean.
The inaugural winner praised CMV and UD Trucks.
“I've spent the past 10 years working at UD Trucks. It's an amazing company to work for and a privilege to sell strong, dependable trucks that are designed to go the distance and withstand Australia’s harshest conditions,” he said.
