UD records its highest sales

UD Trucks recorded the largest retail sales month during June in the company’s history, with 132 units sold throughout the Australian dealer network. The previous sales record of 131 was achieved in March 2006.

According to President of UD Trucks Region Oceania, John Bushell, this result is thanks to strong end of financial year spending in the transport sector, together with savings on run-out Euro 4 stock.

“With the new Euro 5 Condor medium duty and Quon heavy duty series trucks set for an imminent arrival, we couldn’t be happier with our end of June result,” Mr Bushell said.

“The Euro 4 range has served the company and our clients well over a long period of time, but we are very excited to see our new range reach Australian shores.

“We have been listening to what our customers want, with the Condor series featuring an all-new cab and engine, while still offering a wide range of chassis and gearbox options.

“The all-new ECO Fleet engine in the Condor series is breaking ground for Japanese truck manufacturers, by utilising Ad-Blue technology to adhere to the strict new emissions standards.

“Highlights of the changes across the range include the standard fitment of SRS driver’s side airbags, an all-new touch screen multimedia-navigation system, and an improved driver’s seat, which is the centre piece of the safer, more ergonomic cabin layout.”
