Transtech appoints new CEO

After the tragic death of long-standing CEO Shaun Owen, Transtech has appointed Andrew Rossington as Owen’s successor in the role of Chief Executive.

Andrew Rossington has served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer since 2010. According to Transtech, he has played a key role in developing strategic technical roadmaps for the company during that time.

“I assure our valued customers and partners that I will continue the legacy left by [former CEO] Shaun Owen,” said Rossington. “Transtech will continue to provide the transport industry with cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions and continue to maintain close relationships with regulators.”

Rossington’s experience in the IT industry dates back to 1987. In 2001, he moved into the transport and logistics sector after being appointed Solutions Development Manager at Toll Logistics. In this role, he was responsible for the delivery of key business systems and service platforms.

Before joining the Transtech team, Rossington owned and operated solutions architecture and web services company InterDev, founded in 2003. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Transtech and look forward to building on the well-established foundations in place.”

In line with the appointment, Jenny Owen, a current Transtech Director, will take a more active role in the company’s daily operations as the new Managing Director.
