Transport Women Australia announces merger with WALDODA

Transport Women Australia has announced its merger with the WA Long Distance Owners & Drivers Association, WALDODA, and appointed Steve Post, Risk Surveyor at NTI, as their board representative.

“WALDODA has a great working relationship with WA Main Roads and Government and been successful in achieving the WA Owner Drivers Act, and obtaining better truck bays and toilets for drivers,” Chair Pam McMillan said. “They also have a seat on the Road Freight Industry Council in WA and that will remain.

“Over the past ten years we have had a healthy relationship with WA Operators and this merger will strengthen our membership in that state,” Pam added. “The appointment of Steve to our board will bring about a new and healthy perspective. The fact that we care about Small Operator issues was highlighted with our research into their viability some years ago.”
