Transport for NSW has released a Freight Policy Reform Interim Directions Paper.
The Directions Paper follows the release of the Freight Policy Reform Consultation published for feedback in April, which received over 120 written submissions, more than 30 one-on-one meetings and 10 group sessions with industry stakeholders and organisations.
The Directions Paper built on this feedback, which supported key themes identified by the Freight Reform’s Independent Advisory Panel.
This round of notes poses a suite of actions and directions and outlines key consultation matters for further feedback.
This feedback for the Directions Paper can be submitted online from now until Wednesday 23 October and will be used to inform the final actions and recommendations of the Freight Policy Reform program.
The release of this Directions Paper also concludes the review of the Heavy Vehicle Access Policy (HVAP) and finalises the recommendations made in the Review of the Port Botany Landslide Improvement Strategy (PBLIS).
The Independent Advisory Panel is hosting an information session on Monday, 23 September from 3-4pm to discuss the approach outlined in the Directions paper, and explain the process for further consultation.
