Torque Logistics invests in Coronado trucks

Queensland-based transport company, Torque Logistics, has taken delivery of three Coronado 115 models built by US-truck manufacturer, Freightliner.

The new Coronados will assist Torque’s contract with Joy Global Australia, for the transportation of specialty mining machinery between Queensland and NSW.

“The Coronados will be used for freighting Joy’s equipment between the ports in Rockhampton to their head office in the Southern Highlands,” says Mal Dunn of Torque Logistics.

According to Dunn, Torque’s drivers have been impressed by the truck’s Detroit Diesel DD 15 engine’s 560 hp. “The new innovations Detroit’s gone into with this new motor gives our fleet better fuel economy when we make our deliveries up and down the coast,” he said.

The Coronado 115s will pull Torque’s fleet of two flat tops, one curtain-sider, and two drop deck curtain-siders.
