Toll Group has been recognised for its sustainability leadership, taking home the Clean Transport Award at the inaugural Supply Chain Excellence Awards APAC in Singapore on 30 September.
The win highlights Toll’s large-scale battery electric vehicle (BEV) rollout, the biggest in Australia’s third-party logistics sector, which includes 28 battery electric trucks, 31 charging ports across 10 sites and a $67 million investment, supported by $9 million from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA).
“This recognition highlights what’s possible when government, industry, and customers come together with a shared commitment to sustainability,” said Toll Group Head of Sustainability Transformation, Nureen Shariff.
The initiative is estimated to abate 1,810 tonnes of CO₂ annually, while reducing noise and air pollution in urban areas and supporting customer Scope 3 emissions reporting.
Toll’s approach integrates co-designed vehicle solutions with six major customers, energy infrastructure partnerships, workforce training programs and academic collaboration to share learnings across the sector.
“This award gives recognition to the scale of Toll’s first BEV rollout comprising six customers across three states and ten sites,” said Toll Group Head of Products & Solutions Shaun O’Flaherty.
Toll Group Chief Commercial and Sustainability Officer Anna Green added: “It reflects the scale of our ambition and the depth of collaboration across our business, our customers, and our partners. We’re committed to accelerating the transition to net-zero logistics, and this award affirms we’re on the right path.”
The Clean Transport Award recognises organisations driving measurable change in emissions reduction. Toll’s achievement underscores its growing role as a sustainability leader in the Asia-Pacific logistics sector.
