Surprises in store for Cat

During 2011, it’s been full steam ahead for Cat Trucks, with a number of its vehicles now being used all over the country to help tackle the growing transport task. According to General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Jeff Tyzack, the market response for Cat Trucks has been great and the interest for the product is progressing along very well.

Cat Trucks announced its forthcoming arrival onto the Australian truck scene at the 2010 ITTES and now in 2012, the brand will be at the show in full force. And despite having attended both the Brisbane and Perth truck shows earlier this year, visitors to the ITTES will be treated to some new products that will be revealed to the public for the very first time.

“We’ve had huge success from previous trade shows and associated customer events around the country so we are expecting this show will be no different,” Jeff states. “The ITTES is like any industry event. You need to promote the brand and the product to as many owner drivers and fleet operators as you can and we will be using the event to showcase exactly what our trucks can do in various applications.”

And if the stands at previous truck shows are anything to go by, the Melbourne stand for Cat Trucks is likely to attract the attention of passers by. The ITTES will be Cat Trucks’ first opportunity to display the next phase of products to be designed for the Australian market.

Currently, Cat Trucks is in the field testing its new low emission ADR 80-03 engines out on the road throughout Australia. Jeff also revealed the company’s plans to have some of the next generation vehicles on display at the stand.

Although Jeff didn’t reveal too much about the new products that we can expect to see on our roads in the future, he did state that the Cat trucks will likely attract a lot of attention from ‘truckies’ wanting to see the new engine line up accompanied by the Cat Truck product. “What Cat Trucks has in store for the future for the Australian market is exciting, and the show in Melbourne gives us an opportunity to speak to trucking customers about these developments,” Jeff adds.

“Visitors will get the chance to sit in our vehicles and get a real feel for them. In addition to the trucks, we will also be revealing our new engines, showcasing our all trucks parts range as well as the latest Cat merchandise,” says Jeff. While Cat remained tight lipped about what products will be on display, the company confirmed that customers will be impressed with the show stand and believe it will draw a lot of interest. “There has been a lot going on behind the scenes. It will be worth coming down to have a look, that’s for sure.

“Cat Trucks is excited to be exhibiting at the Melbourne show and excited to be able to show the trucking industry that we are serious about our business and serious about being a solid player in the market. We are hoping for a good show and expecting this to be our biggest truck show yet.”
