Supply is steady for Fuso Canter

Fuso Truck and Bus Australia has secured reliable production flow for its Canter models.

The full Canter range – including Built Ready factory tippers, wide cab, city cab models as well as the Canter 515 – is available in Australia.

The Canter, according to Fuso, has become a household name with more than 70,000 sold since it first arrived in Australia showrooms back in 1971.

“We are very excited to be able to offer our customers consistent and solid supply of our Canter, giving them peace of mind that we now can provide the trucks they need to get the job done,” said Fuso Truck and Bus Australia Director, Alex Müller.

“A lot of work has gone in to clearing the hurdles required to release a steady supply of our most popular truck.”

Fuso said it also has a decent supply of its medium duty Fighter and heavy duty Shogun models.

All Canters come with a manufacturer warranty that covers the vehicle for five years or 200,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.

The Canter features 30,000km service intervals and optimal payload for greater productivity.

All Canter 4×2 models can be driven on a car licence when specified by the customer.

A full suite of safety technology including Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and hill-hold brake feature come standard on all 4×2 Canter models.

The Fuso AEBS system, according to the manufacturer, uses radar technology to enable automatic emergency braking in the event of a potential collision and can even begin braking for pedestrians.

In other news, the next generation model of the all-electric light-duty truck eCanter has been unveiled by Fuso in Japan.
