Streamline Trucking has restored a vintage 1994 Kenworth T650.
The company, run by Paul and Amanda Biagini out of Mulgowie in Queensland’s Lockyer Valley, has spent more than three decades refurbishing and operating legacy Kenworth models.
In this time, the outfit has actively relied on the stock of Brown and Hurley’s Darra Supply Parts team – and restoring this 1994 Kenworth T650 was no exception.
The truck was sold by Brown and Hurley’s Townsville dealership to owner-operator Fred Clarke, who was a long-term Pozzolanic concrete sub-contractor until his retirement a decade ago.
While featuring a Cummins N14 engine, an Eaton Fuller RTLO 13413B 13-speed manual transmission, Rockwell’s FG941Q front axles and RT40-145 drive axles with a 3:7 diff ratio, Streamline Trucking sourced all its replacement parts from the Darra Supply Parts team to completely refurbish the truck.
Wanting to keep the truck in as original condition as possible, the inclusion of these replaced parts were limited, only used in instances where the original truck parts were beyond saving.
Additionally, the Biaginis repainted the truck’s chassis in-house, and retained the OEM factory paint by applying many hours of sanding and polishing to the body.
Upon completing the process, Paul Biagini praised the particular assistance of Rick Mancini, Mike Mancini, Carey Davidson and David Williamson from Brown and Hurley Darra.
“Rick and Carey were awesome when it came to sourcing many parts for the 650 project,” he said.
“Nothing was an issue, even with the odd and difficult parts. These guys are just awesome to work with.”
