Soilworx adds two new Isuzu FVZ 1400 to fleet

Melbourne garden specialists, Soilworx, have recently expanded their fleet with the addition of two new Isuzu FVZ 1400s fitted with specially made tipper bodies. The new trucks join the company’s 25 strong fleet of various truck and trailer combinations and are replacements for smaller Japanese truck models.

Chris Ristovski, Soilworx Managing Director, said the new Isuzu’s have complimented the fleet very well since their purchase. Equipped with 221kW/981Nm engines, the trucks are utilised in both on and off-road deliveries. The tipper bodies have been custom designed to hold different types of quarry materials in one load, allowing Soilworx to make their popular “3-for-1” deliveries throughout Victoria.

Since the introduction of the specially made tippers to the fleet, Chris said that Soilworx likes what Isuzu has to offer. “The ability to extend the trucks’ warranty to five instead of three years has provided additional peace of mind,” he said. “We have enjoyed our experience working with Isuzu, the trucks are performing well, and we look forward to continuing that relationship when we add more FVZ 1400s to our fleet later this year.”

Soilworx is the largest supplier of garden and landscape products in Victoria and continues to grow its business with a range of innovative services and products. In line with that growth, Soilworx will open a new office in Pakenham later this year, joining existing facilities at Deer Park and Werribee.
