Sendle honoured for sustainable service

After last week’s announcement of its new partnership with online eCommerce specialist, ReadyToShip, Sendle has taken out the Banksia Mindful Movement Award.

The award recognises demonstrated leadership and achievement in implementing sustainable and innovative ways of reducing the impacts associated with the transportation of people and/or goods.

“Although transport and logistics is often an invisible industry, it has a huge impact on powering our society and economy, but also on our environment,” said Sendle CEO and co-founder, James Chin Moody (pictured).

“That’s why we’re so proud to say that Sendle is Australia’s first 100 per cent carbon neutral delivery service.”

Sendle has had a particularly successful year, taking out a trifecta of awards in sustainability (Banksia Award), business (2016 NSW Telstra Business Award in the New Business Category) and innovation (#4 in the AFR’s Top 50 Most Innovative Companies).

The Banksia Mindful Movement (Transport) Award recognises demonstrated leadership and achievement in implementing sustainable and innovative ways of reducing the impacts associated with the transportation of people and/or goods.
