The Hino Hybrid Electric 300 Series is headlining the OEM’s stand at the Brisbane Truck Show this week.
“As part of our renewed focus, the Hybrid Electric light-duty truck has moved from a niche offering 15 years ago to a genuine purchase option for many fleets as it is the only Hybrid Electric product available in the market,” said Hino Australia Vice President of Brand and Franchise Development Richard Emery.
“It provides operators with a unique combination of lower operational costs, fuel savings, and emission reductions, while also meeting Euro 6 emissions compliance.”
Hino Australia’s customers will soon have even more choice with a range of new Alloy Tray and TradeAce Hybrid Electric Built to Go products available in Hino dealerships from July 2023.
Examples of the 300 Series range on the Hino stand are the 300 Series Hybrid Electric cab chassis and the popular 616 Built to Go Tipper Pro diesel model, which offers customers a versatile tipper body specification including a barn door tailgate design, body lock, and rope rails.
Technology is another key theme of the Hino stand with the announcement of the Hino-Connect business intelligence and telematics platform as an option for 300 Series customers starting from July 2023.
Hino is now offering its Hino SmartSafe safety package as standard fitment in all on-road market segments.
It includes a Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Pedestrian Detection (PD), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Reverse Camera and a suite of other standard safety features including Driver Monitor, depending on the vehicle.
The Brisbane Truck Show is being held 18-21 May 2023 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.
In related news, Hino Australia is upgrading its multimedia units across its range of light, medium and heavy duty trucks.
