Queensland-based transport company, Seage Transport, has taken delivery of a new Kenworth K200 prime mover.
Named ‘Winter Express’, the 600-horsepower unit replaces a previous truck in the fleet and follows Seage Transport’s recent investment in two new DAF CF530s.
Seage Transport Director, Nathan Seage, told Prime Mover that since it arrived last week, the Kenworth has done everything he could ask of it.
“We looked at the K200 through brand reliability and proven performance,” he said.
“It has performed well thus far on the routes that it has been running.”
The new K200 has been deployed in Seage Transport’s interstate operations, where it is pulling B-double combinations up and down the east coast between Brisbane and Sydney carting general freight.
For these operations, Seage said the K200 was the model of choice for maximum freight capacity.
“The K200 was chosen to maximise overall trailer length where possible and offer the driver all the creature comforts of home whilst out on the road,” he said.
Sporting the new Seage Transport logo design, ‘Winter Express’ also has a number of special features to really make the truck stand out as it rolls down the road.
“This truck was spec’d to a high standard with plenty of lights and stainless accessories to add that all important wow factor,” Seage said.
“My brother Craig [Seage] and I enjoyed creating the build on this prime mover and thank the team at Brown and Hurley Yatala for bringing the vision to a reality.”
