Scania to highlight driver safety at 2013 Sandown Drive Days

Scania Australia has announced that it will be displaying four prime movers at the 2013  VTA Sandown Drive Days on March 7-8, including a V8-powered R 620 SCR Highline Cab.

According to Scania, the brand will use the opportunity to continue its campaign to highlight the benefits of its many active and passive safety features, available across the range.

Focused on providing a safe and comfortable workplace for drivers, the Swedish brand fits a driver airbag to each vehicle sold in Australia as standard along with Traction Control, Electronic Brake System, Anti-lock Brake System and a driver seat belt with pre-tensioner.

“Scania has been at the forefront of active and passive safety systems for many years, and is firmly focused on providing a safe and comfortable working environment for drivers,” said Ron Szulc, Scania Australia Brand and Communication Manager.

“Scania Australia also offers customers a range of benefits under the Total Transport Solution concept that helps them to run their businesses more efficiently and therefore more profitably, but with the emphasis on safety for drivers and all road users.

“We welcome all VTA Drive Day attendees to visit the Scania display to find out more about how we can help them improve their bottom line and provide a safer working environment for their drivers.”

Scania’s professional Master driver trainers will also be on hand to explain the bottom-line benefits of Scania’s Peak Efficiency Programme. The company will also demonstrate how its fleet management system can deliver real time information on fleet performance.
