Tickets for the upcoming Freight 2011 Safety Drive Day are now available and selling fast, according to event organisers. With limited tickets remaining, those wanting to attend are urged to act quickly to avoid disappointment.
The Freight 2011 Safety Drive Day, to be held on 4th March at the Sandown Racetrack, will showcase all of the latest technology from some of the most well respected truck manufacturers: Kenworth, DAF, Hino, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Scania.
It has been confirmed that ten trucks will be on track representing these leading truck OEMs. These vehicles are equipped with innovative safety technologies including collision avoidance, lane assist, advanced braking and numerous other features.
In addition to these trucks, Mercedes and Volvo cars will also be demonstrating their latest safety technologies. A driving simulator, new trailer technology, CTI and GPS demonstrations will all be at the event.
Delegates will be given the opportunity ride in all of these vehicles, including the ‘skid pan’ demonstration vehicle for EBS. There will also be the opportunity to drive the cars around the renowned Sandown Racetrack.
Away from the track will be demonstrations of PBS and HPFV combinations, with operators on hand to discuss the benefits of such vehicles.
DECA Training will also be at the event, displaying a live safety technology demonstration on its DECA truck of safety exclusion zone devices.
During the event, delegates will be escorted through four separate areas: on-track, moving
displays, simulators and static demonstrations; ensuring attendees make the most of all that is on offer.
A significant number of leading fleet managers, key regulators and decision makers in the heavy vehicle marketplace have already confirmed their attendance, making this event an important networking opportunity for the freight community.
