Ron Finemore Transport has signed an agreement with the Transport Workers’ Union (TWU) that will cover more than 500 drivers across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
According to the TWU, key points in the agreement include new standards for wage increases, loyalty bonuses and superannuation contributions.
Chairman of Ron Finemore Transport, Ron Finemore, said, “This agreement shows you can run a successful trucking operation in regional Australia, play fair by your workers and maintain first class safety standards.”
According to TWU Senior Officer, Nick McIntosh, the agreement is a potential game changer for drivers across Australia.
“I would urge other truckies and their families to speak to the TWU if they are not getting the same deal,“ said Jason Larfield, Ron Finemore Transport Driver and TWU Delegate.
