Road safety award entries

3M and the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) are inviting entries in the second year of the 3M-ACRS Diamond Road Safety Award. All entries must be submitted by Friday, 15 June 2012.

The award calls for any road safety practitioner from the public or private sectors (which covers people like Road Engineers, Contractors, Road Safety Officers, Road Safety Equipment Manufacturers, Asset Managers, Town Planners etc) to submit highly innovative, cost-effective road safety initiatives/programs which they have recently developed that stand out from normal practice and deliver significant improvements in road safety for the community.

The prize will go to an individual Team Leader from the winning project. They will receive a trip to the USA to attend the 43rd ATSSA Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in San Diego, California in February 2013. They will then travel to 3M Company Headquarters in St Paul, Minnesota to learn more about 3M’s incredible technologies and innovative solutions.

The winning entry will be announced at the ACRS Road Safety Conference Dinner in Sydney on 9 August 2012. All eligible members of the winning project will be presented with the award.
