During the Road Ahead’s Victorian leg of its 2010 schedule, the travelling exhibition centre will continue to spread its messages of safety around trucks, careers in trucking and the important role of the industry to the Shepparton, Echuca and Benalla regions.
The tour will begin by visiting schools at Rochester Primary School on Monday, 4 October before heading to the Shepparton Show on 8 October.
After the show, the exhibition will visit schools in the Broadford, Yea, Mansfield, Euroa, Nagambie, Echuca and Kyabram.
Exhibition Manager, Lauren Ogden said, “The support we always receive from country Victoria is wonderful, and this tour is no exception.”
“The tour relies of the generosity of operators and drivers to offer time, space or money, and every time we announce a Victorian trip, the offers come rolling in.
“The local operators have seen the exhibition in action and understand the important messages it is spreading to school children and the wider community. Everywhere we go, once operators understand what we’re about and what our aims are, they can’t help enough.
“It’s a great endorsement of what we are doing and I’d like to thank all those who will be helping in the upcoming tour.”
Once the regional Victorian leg of the tour is complete, the Road Ahead vehicle will make its way to the ACT and New South Wales, before heading back to Victoria to finish its yearly schedule
