Registrations open for TMC 2017

Australian Trucking Association (ATA) and the Australian Road Transport Suppliers' Association (ARTSA) has announced the Technical and Maintenance Conference 2017 (TMC) is open for registration.

TMC will be held at the Automotive Centre of Excellence at Kangan Institute, Docklands, Melbourne from Monday 16 October to Wednesday 18 October 2017.

ATA CEO, Ben Maguire, has said that the focus for TMC2017 will be on knowledge sharing and learning from others, sourcing factual and relevant information directly from trainers, speakers and regulators.

“This year’s conference is bigger, with expanded exhibition space and additional product training workshops, and is relevant to everyone from apprentices to fleet managers,” said Maguire.

The program this year will include the Chain of Responsibility and maintenance compliance, the new VBS6 Modifications code and what it means for operators and maintainers, National Heavy Vehicle Inspection Manual updates from rigids to road trains, and Performance-Based Standards (PBS) advance sessions.

During the course of the conference, the program will also cover a range of technical topics, including engines, brakes, and tyres. In addition, there will be hands-on demonstrations of world leading technology.

TMC2017 kicks off with an opening lunch sponsored by Cummins where the 2016 Craig Roseneder Award winner will share his TMC experience over the last year.
