Qube Logistics adds 19 Mack trucks to Qld fleet

Qube Logistics has taken delivery of 19 new Mack Trident mDrive trucks, delivered by Volvo Commercial Vehicles Townsville.

According to Qube Director of Corporate Affairs, Paul White, the vehicles have been purchased for the company’s contract with Mackay Sugar and also feature the latest Euro 5 rating for emissions.

In addition, White said the Mack’s mDrive automated transmission will also help drivers to reduce fatigue and the retardation system is both environmentally friendly and driver friendly. “This reduces the use of noisy exhaust brakes,” he said.

The other drawcard with choosing Mack was the training that will be provided to the drivers. “The drivers will be inducted and trained on all aspects of the prime mover by professional instructors from the truck manufacturers,” White added. “The Volvo/Mack Driver Trainer has the reputation as the best in the Australian industry.”
