Pink BP trucks travel around Victoria

Fuel giant BP has partnered with Cootes Transport to help raise money for the McGrath Foundation. Going forward, the transport company will run two bright pink trucks around Victoria.

The ‘pink’ Cootes trucks, commissioned by BP, have been designed to increase awareness of the new partnership with the McGrath Foundation. BP is committing to donate a minimum of $300,000, or half a cent from every litre of Premium Unleaded 95 sold, to help place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia.

Mike McGuinness, Head of Sales and Marketing at BP, said: “When we made the decision to turn our Premium Unleaded pumps pink, it made sense for us to extend the partnership to our fuel trucks – given the distance they cover up and down Victoria’s roads, and the fantastic canvas they’d make to raise awareness of our partnership and the importance of McGrath Breast Care Nurses as a result.

”It’s a proud moment for BP knowing our customers, staff and general motorists will get to see the pink trucks on our roads for some time, and that with each spotting one more person will hopefully spread the word.”

Garry Kevelham, Victorian Operations Manager at Cootes Transport added: “It’s safe to say the pink trucks have already gained significant interest from people across Victoria. Everyone wants to know the story behind the truck, and when they find out, they want to know how they can support the McGrath Foundation.”

Every time drivers in Victoria reach for the pink pump at their local BP, they will be helping raise money to support Australian families experiencing breast cancer by helping fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses.
