Pet food supplier credits reliable Hino trucks

Victorian-based Petfood Processors of Camperdown has credited the reliability of his fleet of Hino trucks.

“Our Hino fleet has been reliable and fault-free from day one, and having one port of call for sales and hassle-free service is terrific,” Ray Rivett, part-owner of Petfood Processors of Camperdown, said. “Their service network is second to none.”

The family-run company, which has been producing food for the dogs and cats of Australia since 1998, has a fleet of 27 trucks, a growing proportion of which are Hinos.

The trucks carry out the core work of the business – the collection of feedstock from farms around Victoria for the production of pet food – using a fleet of Hinos, each equipped with a tipping body and a hydraulic winch.

In a typical day, Victorian Petfood Processors trucks cover many kilometres in both urban and rural settings, and up to 90 people are employed by the company depending on the season.

Rivett, who organises vehicle requirements for the business, said that the Hino product and the service support network from dealer Barry Maney Hino is what makes them their preferred supplier.

“From a convenience point of view, the fact that Mora Mechanical in nearby Cobden has become a Hino 2S Dealer further cements our relationship with the Barry Maney group,” he said.
