The biannual Perth Truck and Trailer Show will be held from Friday 29 to Sunday 31 July at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. With all space sold, organisers have said it will provide the biggest display of new trucks, trailers, equipment and accessories in the event’s history.
Following on from its success in being judged the 2010 International Truck of the Year, Scania’s R730 was been named 2011 Truck of the Show at this year’s Brisbane Truck Show. The Scania R730 has a unique combination of performance, transport efficiency, fuel economy, durability and driver appeal. With 3500 Nm and 730 hp, Scania’s new flagship V8 has the highest torque and power ratings of any truck engine.
With the Cat Trucks brand now launched across Australia, its stand is also likely to draw in large crowds. The new CT630 and CT610 models will be on display.
Other truck brands exhibiting include Mack, UD, Volvo which will display the new 700HP FH model, Hino, Iveco (including the Euro Carga 4×4, Trakker, Stralis and Power Star), Fuso trucks, Mercedes Benz, MAN, Kenworth, Freightliner and Western Star.
Amongst the trucks exhibited, Kenworth will display its new flagship K200 model,Freightliner will showcase its new Coronado and the Western Star stand will feature the 4964FXC with the new Detroit DD15 engine rated up to 164 tonne GCM.
New brands to the Australian market, Foton and Dennis Eagle will also be at the show in full force. The Foton 4495kg GVM with the new release Cummins 2.8 ISF diesel engine, and the Dennis Eagle 6×4 low entry cab with dual control steering complete with refuse compactor body will be on show.
