Prestige Truck Bodies has appointed Shannon Mair as General Manager.
The former Penske executive spent more than a decade with Penske Australia and New Zealand where he held several senior positions.
Until this year he was Head of Fleet overseeing MAN Trucks, Western Star and Dennis Eagle truck brands with the company’s fleet customers.
He was lead on the project last year that invited Penske to Toll Group’s massive request for proposal that involved replacing 25 per cent of its national fleet.
The fleet added dozens of new MAN and Western Star prime movers as part of the tender.
Respected and well liked in the industry, Mair thanked his former colleagues in an online statement.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve received during my time here, especially from the executive team. I am extremely proud of what our team and the company has accomplished together,” he said.
“Thank you for the memories and for being a part of my professional journey. I would like to thank all the Fleet Customers and wish everyone at Penske all the best,” said Mair.
“I’m excited to join Prestige Truck Bodies as the General Manager and look forward to staying connected with my network.”
Based in Carrum Downs, Prestige Truck Bodies manufactures custom truck bodies for rigid trucks.
