Penske Australia announces new branch

Penske Australia has announced the opening of its new Lytton location.

It’s the second Brisbane branch for the commercial vehicle solutions company.

The new facility, which will represent the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, Detroit, and Allison Transmission brands, is located next to the critical Port of Brisbane and Brisbane Airport operations.

The 11,100 square-metre site includes 19 workshop bays, an overhead crane gantry, and a brake and suspension tester – along with a 450 square-metre office space, 2,650 square-metre workshop and a 250 square-metre warehouse.

Penske Australia General Manager (Eastern Region), John Delany, said the company’s success lead to the branch’s second facility.

“Our growing customer base in south-east Queensland gave us an opportunity to explore locations for a second facility in addition to our current Wacol branch,” he said. “It was quickly evident that Lytton was an ideal location to bookend Brisbane and extend our coverage of customers in the north and east.”

Branch Manager (Lytton), Matt Oldham, said the organisation is excited to receive on-highway customers and their assets.

“Our team is working hard to ensure that when the doors open to our customers on Monday, we will be ready to provide our renowned Penske customer service excellence,” he said.

“Equally important, we are confident our team will enjoy working in our new facilities. We are still looking to add diesel technicians as our services ramp up, and we welcome calls from interested applicants.”

Doors open for the new branch Monday, 6 June.
