The Australian Trucking Association (ATA) has announced that Paralympian Jack Swift will be the guest speaker at the Eaton Industries lunch on day one of the 2014 Paccar and Dealer Technical Maintenance Conference (TMC 2014).
Swift, who became a triathlete after losing a knee in a workplace accident, will discuss what it takes to rise above massive challenges.
“Jack is a proud ambassador for WorkSafe, and when not in training, he is a sought-after motivational speaker with a strong emphasis on workplace safety,” said the ATA.
The Eaton Industries lunch will be chaired by ATA CEO Stuart St Clair and is running on the first day of the ATA’s Paccar and Dealer Technical Maintenance Conference (TMC).
TMC2014 will also include a series of technical sessions, compliance forums and product training workshops, with a strong focus on safety.
Attendees will have the option of moving through the multiple streams to find sessions that suit their business.
TMC will also include the presentation of the 2014 Craig Roseneder Memorial Award and the Castrol Vecton Industry Achievement Award at the Castrol Vecton Awards Dinner.
TMC2014 will be held at the Automotive Centre of Excellence in Melbourne from 27 – 29 October.
