NTRTA raises money for children’s ward

The Northern Territory Road Transport Association (NTRTA) successfully raised $10,000 for the Children's Ward at the Royal Darwin Hospital in their 2013 Kids Convoy charity fundraiser held on 6 April.

More than 50 trucks took part in the convoy travelling through Darwin's northern suburbs and the city streets.

“We were very happy to be able to make a donation of $10,000 to the hospital to upgrade televisions and electronic equipment that will make the stay in hospital a little brighter for our sick kids,” said Andrew Swart, NTRTA Industry Liaison Officer.

In addition, awards were given out on the day including the award for Best Overall Truck won by transport operator Rui Mu, and the award for Best Company Fleet, which was presented to NT company Directhaul.
