The NSW Government has released 'NSW Rego' as an app for the iPhone. It allows vehicle owners to renew their registration from a mobile device. The app includes a free registration check tool, registration renewal reminder service and a search function to help find the nearest eSafety Check station.
For vehicle registration renewal, the owner simply enters the billing number on the NSW Certificate of Registration to securely renew rego. There is also a free registration check where it is possible to enter the plate number of any NSW registered vehicle in order to view its registration status.
Customers can set a registration renewal reminder. Within the app, the vehicle owner can set a reminder for when the next NSW vehicle registration renewal is due. The eSafety Check station search function on the app will find the nearest e-Safety Check station using GPS (for a vehicle safety inspection).
