Cairns-based NQ Towing Service has added two new Isuzu FRR 600 trucks to its fleet, the first truck purchase for new Owner, Richard Teeling.
The brand new FRR 600s – both fitted with accessory packs – were purchased from Ireland Isuzu in Cairns, and will be used between eight to 10 hours a day in Cairns and nearby regional areas.
“I’d never had anything to do with towing before taking over the company, so I had to learn by talking to truck drivers and dealers,” said Teeling.
“In terms of reliability, cab comfort and fuel economy, Isuzu trucks stood out from everything else on the market. We’ve also found them really quiet, and the hill brake assist is really useful as well.”
According to Isuzu, a main reason Teeling chose the FRR trucks was the accessibility of parts and accessories.
“If a truck breaks down and I can’t get the parts then we might have a truck out of commission for up to a week. Isuzu parts are easy to source and the trucks are simple to service,” said Teeling.
The two FRR trucks have already earned their celebrity stripes, carrying Australian motorsport legend Craig Lowndes’ car at the V8 Supercars event in Townsville.
