North Queensland Field Days kicking off today

From today (Friday, 16 May) one of the biggest events in North Queensland for transport and the rural industries is on, with the 24th bi-annual North Queensland Field Days on Friday and Saturday in Townsville.

Manufacturers and distributors will be demonstrating machines, implements, structures, tools, chemicals, vehicles and services that have an application to the rural, industrial and mining industries of North Queensland.

As well as plenty of trucks and machinery the event with feature a free Lee Kernaghan concert to entertain the public.

Exhibitors of this year’s event are donating $75,000 of hay to be delivered to drop off points in Hughenden, Richmond and Julia Creek for local farmers affected by the drought.

Gates open from 9am to 5pm and the concert and Exhibitors Field Days will be free to the public.
