10 am on Friday, 16 August, is the time and date for a webinar organised by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) to talk with industry representatives about the move to one regulator and one rule book on 1 September. The live streamed webinar will run from 10 to 11 am with industry representatives answering questions in real time.
Available for the debate will be Peter Garske, Queensland Trucking Association CEO and NHVR Board Member as host along with NHVR CEO, Richard Hancock; Liz Schmidt, incoming President of the Australian Livestock and Rural Transporters Association; David Tape, Executive Director of the Queensland Bus Industry Council and Tim Knowles, a Director of the Queensland Trucking Association.
“We often meet face-to-face with industry at forums and events to answer their questions and listen to their concerns, but it’s a big country and we can’t be everywhere over the next few months,” said NHVR CEO, Richard Hancock. “That’s why we think webinars are a great platform for getting the word out and for getting the issues in. Anyone near a computer can log on, listen and learn more about our new services from 1 September.”
