NHVR CEO Richard Hancock to speak at Global Truck & Trailer Leaders Summit

Only two days after the official launch of Australia’s first national truck law, National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) CEO, Richard Hancock, confirmed his involvement in the Global Truck & Trailer Leaders Summit in April.

Hancock, who will be overseeing the new national rule book, will speak on day one the event and introduce truck industry leaders from around the globe to the new legislation, which also includes the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) and the much talked-about Performance-Based Standards (PBS) scheme.

Appointed as NHVR CEO in December 2012, Mr Hancock has held many a Chief Executive role in the past – including heading up the Department of Planning and Infrastructure in Australia's Northern Territory and Chief Executive Officer roles within Local Government in Victoria. He has extensive experience in transport and roads strategy, policy and regulation across Commonwealth, State, Territory and Local Governments and will give the audience exclusive insights into a scheme that could potentially create $12.4 billion in economic benefits for Australia.
