New sessions announced for 2010 TMC

Organisers of the ATA/ARTSA Technical and Maintenance Conference (TMC) have announced a number of new sessions for this year’s event.

The 2010 event will offer an expanded selection of interactive sessions, offering delegates the chance to actively participate with the experts.

One of those, ‘Cradle to Grave – what happens when a fatality occurs in a workplace’, will offer delegates an interactive example of a fatality caused by a component failure.

How this happened, the subsequent investigation and where it ends up is compelling and relevant to today’s workshop scene.

Another session, ‘The Now Generation – Specifying Trucks and Trailers’ will look at the developing trends in specifications across the range of truck and trailer equipment.

Delegates will have the opportunity to ask questions on everything from lighting, brakes, load restraint, PBS and much more.

Other sessions announced include:

• Engine technology and practical outcomes.
• Advance brake technologies.
• Coupling maintenance – how to look after pins, fifth wheels, pintle hooks.
• Tyres – how to save a bundle by optimising maintenance and selection.

The 2010 event will also host the annual TruckSafe Members’ Forum, an opportunity for members of the TruckSafe program to meet and find out how to increase safety in their businesses.
