With less than a month to go until the Brisbane Truck Show, Queensland’s new Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has now published a statement honouring the contribution trucking is making to the local community.
“Queensland relies greatly on the trucking industry and we all owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women who ensure our goods and services are freighted safely and promptly around our vast State, day and night, 365 days a year,” she said.
With an expected 40,000 visitors, the bi-annual trucking event is aiming for a new visitor record in 2015, providing what Palaszczuk called “a wonderful opportunity for people in transport and related industry to meet and share ideas, establish business relationships and showcase new vehicles, equipment and technologies.”
Palaszczuk said she was particularly looking forward to experience the Show’s new ‘Health Tune Up Centre’, where visitors can receive advice and assistance on health risks.
