New Fuso tipper increases payload gains

Commercial vehicle manufacturer, Fuso, has revealed that its 515 City Cab tipper can now carry an additional 500kg of payload, boasting a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of six tonnes.

The 515 City Cab reportedly has an integrated, strengthened chassis to support the tipper tray and mechanism, rather than a separate sub-frame, giving the truck a lower tare weight and a lower centre of gravity.

Designed to navigate tight spaces and slim alleyways, “the 515 City Cab tipper has been a great compact truck for operators who sometimes need to operate in tight environments,” said Fuso Truck and Bus Director, Justin Whitford.

The cab features tough tipper trays and comes equipped with tipper-specific front beam suspension and front disc brakes with twin callipers.

Last month, Fuso was among other truck manufacturers participating in a field trial of truck platooning in Japan.
