BP yesterday announced that construction of a new Truckstop at Dandenong in Melbourne has begun.
The new site will be built on the corner of Greens and Hammond Road, and the complex will serve the increasing number of trucks travelling in and out of the Dandenong precinct.
The design of the new 24-hour facility will include wide and convenient refueling positions, high speed pumps and extensive parking.
It will also include BP’s 24 hour Road Haven Café offer, a convenience store and truckers showers and toilet facilities.
This project involves an investment of around $10 million and will create or sustain around 80 jobs across a range of disciplines during construction. Up to 20 new jobs will be created when the site become operational in mid-2012.
The site is expected to be completed in around nine months.
