NC2 Global Australia becomes Navistar Auspac

NC2 Global Australia is now trading under the name Navistar Auspac Pty Ltd., according to parent company, Navistar.

In a press release, Navistar said the rebranding had been necessary as the company is now selling both Cat branded trucks as well as the International truck brand range in Australia and New Zealand.

“Navistar Auspac is a wholly owned subsidiary of Navistar, Inc. and its executives and staff will maintain their existing roles,” the release said.

“International is currently here in off-road products, and has been for some time under our distribution; however, there is no plan just yet to introduce the International on-highway product within our business at this point in time,” said Glen Sharman Business & Brand Development Manager.

“We are currently improving the product line up of the Cat Trucks portfolio, including a short bonneted stand up sleeper which is due to be launched this month, and the CT650, which is the heavy-duty road train spec truck – so our focus is 100 per cent with Cat Trucks range for on-highway,” he said.

“This is an extremely positive and timely change,” commented Kevin Dennis, Managing Director of Navistar Auspac.

“Navistar sees growth opportunities in the Australian, New Zealand and Pacific markets, and we are committed to realising the potential. To have a major company like Navistar put its name to this region creates assurance for our current and future customers that they are dealing with a company that is totally dedicated to the truck business.

“It’s certainly refreshing to now be officially operating under one powerful and widely respected brand name.”
