National work diary shortage in South Australia

The South Australian Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) has advised the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) it has exhausted its supply of the current National Work Diary. More stock is being printed urgently and is being distributed to sale points from Monday 21 October 2013 onwards.

According to the NHVR, if an operator is unable to purchase the current work diary, they may use a supplementary work diary record in accordance with regulation 39 of the SA Road Traffic (Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue) Regulations 2008.

Supplementary work diary records are available to download and print from the South Australian Government website and can be used up to 31 October 2013, during which time drivers must purchase a replacement work diary.

An updated and improved national driver work diary will be available when the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) commences. For more information, visit the NHVR website
