Morrows Logistics has sustained its recent momentum by adding four brand-new Scania rigids to the fleet.
These Scania G420s are powered by 13-litre six-cylinder engine and weigh 500kg less than their V8 counterparts.
The trucks’ Euro 6 emissions technology with enhanced 13-speed gearboxes significantly reduces environmental impact compared to older models, while also incorporating advanced safety systems.
Enhanced stability control, collision warning, lane change detection warning systems and improved driver visibility and comfort are all included in the Scania G420s.
According to Morrow Logistics Group Logistics Manager, Peter Gill, these features align perfectly with Morrows’ safety-first approach.
“These trucks represent where we’re heading as a company,” he said.
“We’re not just replacing vehicles. We’re investing in a safer, more fuel efficient fleet”.
All four trucks are being fitted out specifically for the transportation of Dangerous Goods (DGs) and paired with new twin-axle rigid trailers, purpose-built to handle complex loads while maintaining the highest safety standards.
“The twin-axle configuration gives us greater flexibility and load capacity,” Gill said.
“Combined with our spill protection system that captures any minor spills ensuring product is not lost to ground and DG segregation features allowing us to deliver multiple DG grades at the one time, these rigs are among the safest on the road.”
This latest expansion signals Morrows’ commitment to both growth and renewal — investing in cutting-edge equipment while maintaining the safety standards that set them apart.
With cleaner emissions, more innovative safety systems, and purpose-built capabilities, Morrows is proving that moving forward doesn’t mean compromising on what matters most to their customers, safety, reliability and efficiency.
