Logistics company, MGM Bulk, has commissioned what it has reported to be Western Australia’s largest and newest ultra quad roadtrain fleet.
The heavy vehicles preparing to commence operations at Hancock Iron Ore’s McPhee Creek Project in the Pilbara.
The fleet features Kenworth C509 prime movers coupled to Bruce Rock Engineering side tipper combinations.
The announcement follows widespread attention on social media after footage of the fleet prompted speculation that the images had been AI generated.
MGM Bulk confirmed the vehicles were photographed at its Golden Eagle Workshop in the Pilbara during the commissioning phase.
The additional ultra quad combinations have since arrived on site, with more units continuing to be delivered.
MGM Bulk said substantial progress has been made across the project in recent months, including the commissioning of workshop facilities, administration offices and a drive-through truck wash. The company has also established operational workspaces and taken delivery of four Cat 982 XE wheel loaders.
The fleet rollout marks a major milestone in MGM Bulk’s partnership with Hancock Iron Ore, following years of planning and project development ahead of operations commencing at McPhee Creek.
