Laverton-based tyre expert Deverich is the first Michelin accredited Recamic retread factory in Victoria to be awarded Michelin Quality Systems accreditation.
“Deverich has met the highest standard of safety, manufacturing, training and environmental consciousness that Michelin expect to ensure the delivery of quality retreaded tyres,” says Colin Brown, Michelin Retread Manager Australia/ New Zealand.
“Deverich has worked closely with Michelin to implement and maintain the new retreading standards required. This means they now have access to the very latest in Michelin branded tread patterns that are exclusively available for use on Michelin casings – in effect they are now able to 're-manufacture' the Michelin casing.”
Through the accreditation process attached to the Michelin Quality Systems, Michelin is raising the bar in truck and bus tyre retreading, Colin explains.
“Michelin has set the standard required to become an accredited retread factory incredibly high to ensure we deliver our customers the best possible product. I congratulate the team at Deverich on achieving this accreditation and welcome our new partnership with them.
“The Michelin Retread product incorporates the latest tyre technology to deliver significant benefits to truck and bus operators. Utilising the Michelin Multi-Life Strategy, Michelin Retread offers operators the lowest cost of ownership, improved safety, high quality and increased reliability backed by Michelin Technical support,” he adds.
“Operators will also be able to make fuel savings and reduce their environmental impact. Our Quality Systems process, meanwhile, ensures the standard and quality of the service operators receive matches that of our products.”
