MAN to continue as ‘official transporter’ for Triple Eight Race Engineering

MAN has announced it will continue to support Triple Eight Race Engineering as the ‘Official Transporter’ for the 2013 V8 Supercar season. This year, Triple Eight have entered a new sponsorship arrangement with Red Bull Racing Australia.

“Renewing our MAN Agreement was a very important consideration given the presentation levels that we envisaged Red Bull Racing Australia require this year,” said Peter Jamieson, Commercial Operations Manager Triple Eight Race Engineering.

“Our new TGX’s certainly look the part, plus our truckies love the power, particularly up the Toowoomba range! We simply cannot recommend highly enough our MAN’s and the service we receive.”

Two MAN TGX 540 prime movers will be tasked with transporting Red Bull Racing and Triple Eight Race Engineering’s new Holden VF Commodores around the country.

According to MAN, the TGX 540 model features a four-valve, six-cylinder, in-line engine with common rail injection, turbocharging and intercooling, providing 540hp and 2,500Nm torque.
